Dr. Paul Harbottle brings a rich international background and over two decades of clinical experience to his dental practice. Raised in London, England, Dr. Harbottle began his academic journey at a traditional English boarding school before pursuing university studies in London. Initially, he began studying Pharmacy but soon realized his true passion lay in dentistry—a field that runs in the family, with both his parents in the medical profession and his older brother also practicing as a dentist in London.
Motivated by this passion, Dr. Harbottle went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of lowa College of Dentistry in 1994. Following dental school, he completed a two-year fellowship in implant dentistry at New York University from 1996 to 1998. His advanced training has shaped a practice that blends precision, cosmetics, innovation, and compassionate care.
Even from a young age, Dr. Harbottle demonstrated a keen eye for detail-excelling in carpentry and wood turning classes throughout middle and high school. The craftsmanship and precision required in those disciplines have translated seamlessly into his restorative dental work, where meticulous attention to detail is key to delivering natural, long-lasting results.
In 1994, Dr. Harbottle came under the mentorship of the esteemed Dr. Stephen Sovich, who had been serving the New Canaan community since 1970. Since then, Dr. Harbottle has continued the legacy, proudly caring for many local families-now spanning four generations.
With a deep commitment to individualized treatment and lifelong learning, Dr. Harbottle is known not only for his clinical skill but also for the long-lasting relationships he builds with his patients and his genuine affection for so many of them.
I’m Ana Pires, and I’ve been immersed in the world of dental hygiene for 20 fulfilling years. One of the aspects I cherish most about my career is the opportunity to connect with my patients on a personal level. I take great pride in educating them about the crucial role of oral health and helping them make informed decisions that can truly transform their well-being. Outside of the dental office, I’m a proud mother to two incredible children who keep my life vibrant and full of joy. When I’m not spending time with them, you’ll often find me in my garden, where I indulge my love for planting and nurturing. Balancing my professional passion with my family life and gardening is a rewarding experience, and it continually inspires me to bring my best to every aspect of my life.
